It Is on the Table

It is Tuesday morning.

Again, one cookie is gone.

I look around the kitchen.

I need a clue.

What is on the table?

I see small crumbs on the table.

Some crumbs are on the floor.

A crumb is under the chair.

More crumbs are next to the door.

This is my first clue.

The crumbs make a line.

The line is on the floor.

It goes to the wall.

Where is the cookie now?

It is not in the jar.

It is not in my bag.

It is not under the table.

The crumbs are my map.

I follow the crumbs slowly.

My notebook is in my hand.

Step by step, I walk.

The mystery is on the floor now.
