The Old Map

Pip looks at the old paper again.

Now he sees many small pictures.

"This is a map!" Pip says.

There are three pictures on the map.

There is a mountain, a lake, and a tree.

The mountain is on the top.

The lake is in the middle.

The big tree is under the lake.

There is a red star near the tree.

"The treasure is here!" Pip says.

There are small dots on the map.

The dots show a path.

The path goes over the mountain.

Then it goes down to the lake.

Pip counts the pictures again.

One mountain, one lake, two trees.

"I can find the treasure," he says.

Pip puts the map in his bag.

His heart beats fast and happy.

The forest is quiet in the morning.

Birds sing in the tall trees.

"My adventure starts today!" Pip says.

He looks at the mountain far away.

Pip is ready for the long trip.
