One, Two, Three!

Our music is still a mess.

Tom is too fast.

Ann is too slow.

"We need help," I say.

Then I have an idea.

"Let's count together!" I say.

"Count to three, then play."

I count out loud.

"One, two, three!"

We all start together.

Tom plays on three.

Ann plays on three.

I sing on three.

The sounds come together now.

Boom, toot, and la, la, la!

"Wow, we did it!"

Our music is much better.

We count again and again.

"One, two, three!"

We smile at each other.

Counting is our little trick.

Now we are a real band.
