Can You Kick?

It is a new day.

The coach calls me.

"Ken, come here," he says.

"Can you kick the ball?" he asks.

I look at the ball.

The ball is big and round.

"I don't know," I say.

"Can you kick? Try it!" he says.

"OK, I can try," I say.

I run to the ball.

I kick the ball hard.

The ball goes far!

"Wow! Good kick!" the coach says.

"You can kick very well," he says.

I am surprised.

"Can I kick again?" I ask.

"Yes, kick again!" he says.

I kick the ball again.

It goes far again.

I can't run fast.

But I can kick well.

I feel happy and strong.
