The First Key: Wind
A silver key at the top of a tall tree
The two friends climbed the high green hill together.
At the top, the was and cold.
On the hill stood one tree, taller than all the others.
High in the tree, a small was shining.
"That is the first , the of !" said Pip.
"This tree is much taller than my house," said Leo.
Leo looked up, but he could not see the top.
"Can you fly up and take the ?" he asked Pip.
"No, I can't," Pip said sadly. "The is too ."
Her small wings were weaker than the wild .
"Then I will ," Leo said, holding the rough .
The tree was harder to than he thought.
His arms were tired, and his hands were sore.
Leo was smaller than the tree, but he did not stop.
Slowly, he climbed higher and higher up the branches.
The was colder near the top of the tree.
"You are braver than me!" Pip shouted from below.
Finally, Leo reached the shining .
He held it and started to down.
"This is lighter than a leaf," Leo said, surprised.
On the , Pip flew around him happily.
"One now, and two more to find," she said.
Leo smiled because he felt a little braver than before.
The grew soft, as if it said thank you.
