The Job for Me
Yuna finds her true direction
The job experience week has come to an end.
Now our teacher asks us to write a short .
"Write about what you have learned this week," she said.
I have visited five very different work places.
I have kneaded warm bread at a small bakery.
I have held a scared puppy at the clinic.
I have carried a firefighter's heavy jacket and hose.
I have made a bouquet for a happy customer.
I have listened to an old woman in bed.
Every job was hard, but every job had joy.
I have made mistakes, and I have grown from them.
Now I pick up my pencil and begin to write.
"I do not know my job yet," I write.
"But I want to help people," I write clearly.
"I want to become someone who makes smile."
Bread, animals, fire, flowers, and people taught me this.
My is not one job with one name.
My is a feeling inside my heart.
I want to my life helping other people.
I read my again and feel very .
The empty paper from Monday is now full.
"I have found my ," I say softly.
My teacher reads it and smiles warmly at me.
"That is a wonderful , Yuna," she said kindly.
This week has changed something quiet inside me.
I will walk toward my , one at a time.
