The next day, the gray man came back again.

But this time, he was not alone at all.

Many town children were standing in front of the factory.

They have heard about Bolt from me and my friends.

"You cannot take our friend," the children said together.

The old woman from the park stood with them too.

"This robot is kinder than any machine," she said.

The gray man looked at the and stopped.

"Bolt must . I will not him," he finally said.

Everyone turned and looked at Bolt quietly.

Bolt has never made such a big before.

"You can , or you can here," I said.

"This has been the hardest of my life," Bolt said.

Bolt looked at the children, the woman, and me.

"I have found a . I have found friends," he said.

Slowly, Bolt took one small forward.

"I to ," Bolt said in a clear voice.

The children cheered louder than ever before.

The gray man watched us for a long moment.

Then he closed his black book and walked away.

"You are braver than I thought," he said quietly.

Bolt's light was warmer and brighter than the sun.

"Machines may have feelings after all," Bolt said softly.

That day, Bolt became a part of our town.

We have been friends ever since that warm morning.
