The Sealed Sector
立入禁止の第七区画から届く、真夜中の信号の謎
The next day, Noah decided to learn everything about the hidden part of the colony.
He discovered that one whole sector had been sealed off many years ago.
On the map, it was simply called Sector Seven, with no further details.
It was the sector where no one went and where no lights were ever turned on.
The corridors that led toward it had been closed with heavy metal doors.
signs were fixed to the walls, telling every worker to stay away.
Noah asked several people why the area had been shut, but no one gave a clear answer.
Some said the air pipes there had been damaged during an old storm.
Others whispered that the sector had been abandoned because of a serious accident.
Nobody, however, seemed willing to explain what kind of accident it had been.
The strange signal, Noah realised, was being sent from somewhere inside Sector Seven.
Every night at midnight, a faint of data was released from that dark place.
It was almost as if the sealed sector were quietly trying to speak.
Noah walked to the great door that separated Sector Seven from the rest of the colony.
The metal was cold, and a thin of red dust covered its .
A small panel beside the door asked for a security code he did not have.
He pressed his hand against the door and felt a faint deep inside.
This was the place where the flicker was born, hidden behind locks and silence.
As he stood there, Captain Vega appeared suddenly at the end of the corridor.
"That sector was closed for a reason," she said in a low, voice.
"It is dangerous, and it is . You must never try to enter it."
Her words were polite, but a clear was hidden beneath them.
Noah apologised and walked away, yet his questions had only grown stronger.
Why was a whole part of the colony being kept secret from its own people?
That evening, he could not stop thinking about the door and its silent code.
Sector Seven was calling to him, and he knew he would have to answer.
