The Misunderstanding
A girl in the park, a wrong guess, and a growing distance
A few days later, Haru did not come to the bench.
Aoi waited alone, but Haru never appeared at all.
On her way home, she passed the small park.
Haru was walking there with young girl.
They were both laughing and talking very happily.
Aoi stopped and felt a sharp in her chest.
"So he was busy with someone else," she thought.
She turned around quickly and walked away fast.
Haru did not see her leaving in the evening light.
The next day, Aoi did not go to the river.
Haru sat on the bench and waited for a long time.
"Where is she? Is she angry with me?" he wondered.
At school, Aoi did not look at him at all.
When Haru said hello, she just walked past him.
Haru felt and a little sad inside.
He did not know about the girl in the park.
The girl was only his from town.
She was visiting his family for a few short days.
But Aoi did not know this simple .
A cold, quiet grew between the two friends.
The bench by the river stayed every day.
Haru held his unread book and sighed softly.
"I need to talk to her," he said to himself.
But he did not know how to start the words.
