The next morning, Mina decided to ask her about the file.
Mr. Kato was a man who had trained her from the start.

She asked him whether other hidden files existed in the system.
Mr. Kato smiled in a way that gave her no answer at all.
"You should focus on the work that pays your ," he replied.
This was the first time he had ever avoided one of her questions.
Mina noticed a rule which she had never seen in her .
It said that memories must never be fully deleted.
She wondered who had written such a strange and secret rule.

Every employee had signed it, yet no one had ever read it closely.
Mina began to ask herself what kind of company she worked for.

She could not tell whether her was protecting her or the secret.
That evening, she stayed at her desk long after the others left.
